2000- 2004 PhD in Horticulture and Landscape of the University of Reading, UK. I successfully carried out 4 scientific experiments on the potential use of novel photo selective plastic films to manipulate growth and development of soft fruit of two raspberry cultivars. My research and analytical skills can enable me to independently conduct, supervise or implement academic and non-academic research projects, including teaching work.
1994-1996 Msc in Agriculture (Agroforestry) of Makerere University, Kampala Uganda. The main thrust of my research was to determine the role and need for integrated crop and Livestock management under agroforestry systems in Western Uganda. As part of the Msc degree programme, I also attended several examinable courses including Biometrics and Applied Statistics, Plant nutrition, Soil and Plant Analysis, Plant Agronomy, Agroforestry, Research Methods, and Curriculum Development.
1989-1993 BSc (Forestry) (Upper Second Class) of Makerere University, Kampala Uganda. The degree programme covered a wide range of subjects of mainstream agriculture, forestry, food science and technology, Introduction to IT and computing skills, agricultural extension, rural development, research methods and practical skills.
1983-1989 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE:O-level) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE: A’Level) at Kigezi High School, Western Uganda. My core subjects were Physics, Biology and Chemistry. Others included General Paper and Subsidiary mathematics.
